June 2014 ....having just few members then...It wascreated for the purpose of bringing us (Okijans) together, where our views and opinions are expressed concerning our home town Okija...
We had our first contest in the year 2014 which NWANOLUE CHINELO JENNIFER emerged the winner as the first Queen of this group. Another contest was conducted in the year 2015 which IKEGWUOHA CHINEDU emerged the winner as the first King of this group....In 2016, we had the Princess contest which AMAMGBO IFEOMA AMARACHI SCARLETTE emerged the winner as the first Princess of this group...Still in the year 2016, we had the NO MAKE UP CONTEST which PERPETUAL KELECHI emerged as the winner,,,still in the same year, we had the first FACE OF OKIJA ELITE ASSOCIATION contest which NWADINOBI HANNAH OBIANUJU emerge the first FACE OF OKIJA ELITE ASSOCIATION 2016!!!
The name OKIJA ELITE ASSOCIATION came into existence through our Media and Publicity Mr. Nnubia Charles with the acronym OEA and the Motto: EMPOWERING THE YOUTHS came in through our Treasurer AMAMGBO IFEOMA AMARACHI SCARLETTE...
We had our first GET TOGETHER PARTY on the 31st December 2016 at SMILEYS in Okija popularly known as PIPELINE...The Get Together gave most of us the opportunity of meeting one another one on one and we were privileged having Mr. APINJO OKENWA (Oduma of Okija) in our midst that day....
Apart from our various contes , we do have some activities like our weekly program Titled THE HOT SEAT which you all will be clarified on soon....Well it seems I'll have to end it here because this is much I could remember about this group,,,but if you still care to know more then inbox any of the admins.
